Your role
As a System Engineer at Vehicle Systems, you and the group will be responsible for leading our product development during our own R&D according to our roadmaps. The development is done in close collaboration with the department's electronics designers. The role includes full responsibility for two of our product groups: Rugged Displays and Rugged Portable Computers.
Tasks will include
· Planning and leading development of products within the responsibility area over the whole lifecycle, from idea to announcement for end of life
· Configure products for customer needs
· Technical support to project leaders during customer projects
Your profile
Your personal and social skills are very important to us, you need to fit in and complement the group in a good way. You need to be open minded, with a drive forward towards changes and improvements. You need to feel responsible for the well-being of your products. You are used to efficiently collaborating with team members as well as other stakeholders. You are structured and have an analytical mindset enabling you to adapt to changed circumstances. You don't mind taking a leading role in the development team.
Required skills
· an academic degree within electrical or mechanical design or product development
· +5 years work experience from System Engineering
· Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, verbally and written
Previous experience from team leading or project management is meriting.
What you will be a part of
Department Vehicle Systems develops and supports advanced vehicle-based electronics and sensor systems for demanding environments on international markets. The department has about 70 employees and is based in Linköping.
You will be a part of section Engineering and the group Hardware & Test, consisting of electronic designers, mechanical designers, system engineers and test and validation engineers. Operations include system integration, development of embedded computer systems and customer support in areas such as computer technology, advanced video transmission, displays and sensor integration.
