System Function Responsible - Traction Battery Climatization

The department Electric Propulsion System (EPS) is responsible for development of High Voltage (HV) System design, Traction Batteries, Electric Machines, Inverters, Power supplies and On-Board Chargers, i.e. all major parts of hybrid and electric systems. In our group you will develop battery climatization in a young team that is eager to electrify our brand in a broad effort with Plug-In Hybrids (PHEVs) and Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs). The company target is to electrify 10% of the cars in 2020. This is a wonderful challenge on a journey that has only begun, and we now need to re-enforce our SFR team to achieve the vision.

As System Function Engineer you will develop specifications for battery thermal interface, both hardware and software. Your responsibilities will include understanding and break down of working conditions for battery thermal interfaces in specific projects. You will also specify test types, define measurement data and take part in validation work. Interactions with colleagues, both within EPS and with other units within R&D or external organizations, are important. Main responsibilities

* Create, prepare and release technical documentation, e.g. requirement specifications
* Specify diagnoses for battery thermal components
* Analyse thermal battery components as well as system and vehicle tests
* Collaborate with other departments like climate, cooling and software regarding interfaces
* Coordinate external work e.g. with suppliers or technical institutions

Required qualifications

* Master degree in Mechanical Engineering
* Work experience in the thermodynamic field
* Previous experience from mechanical design and/or testing is meritorious
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Driver´s license B

* Analytic with interest in thermodynamics
* Result oriented with a structured way of working
* Able to act independently as well as to cooperate within a team
* Broad vehicle interest and knowledge
* Ability to travel
