System Lead, Seat Structures & Cross Car Beam

We are currently looking for a new System Lead - Seat Structures & Cross Car Beam. As System Lead, you are responsible for the definition of strategies and developing concepts for new systems within the Interior Seat structures and Cross Car Beam team and for setting and documenting global requirements. This means that you have to have a good knowledge of new technologies and trends in the area. You will also have the responsibility for the deliveries from the team during the early phases of the projects and guide and support the System Project Leader and Launch Leaders in the later stages of the projects.

We are looking for a person with the ability to drive, motivate and convince, as well as the persistence to pursue targets and take decisions. This is what you will do most of the time:

- Driving, developing and documenting system requirement alignment.
- Developing “Build To Print” Seat Structures and Cross Car Beam as well as developing system design concepts together with our partners and suppliers.
- Facilitate concept selection taking into account new trends, technologies and project needs.
- Supporting purchasing with technical documentation and reviews to facilitate successful sourcing of suppliers for the projects.
- Defining & planning system testing and validation together with the validation team early in the projects.
- Leading and coordinating the cross-functional team and overall work tasks in the early stages of the projects. You will also be an expert user and support for the team for all internal processes in NPDS leading up to Project Confirmation.
- Lead the Advanced engineering work in your area and support Line Managers with the analysis of consequences of new projects and changes in content in existing projects.


Required background and skills:

- B. Sc. or M. Sc. Engineering
- Minimum 10 years experience in automotive development
- Relevant experience in the specific system area
- Knowledge about trends and applicability of new technologies
- Experience in project management
- Experience in supplier management
- Solution-driven and structured
- Ability to work in multi-task conditions as well as the ability to handle high workload periods
- Fluent in English, written and spoken; Swedish is meritorious on short term level and expected in long term
