The Core Network Engineering Unit at Ericsson is at the forefront of driving innovation in the Packet Core domain, playing a pivotal role in our technology leadership. As part of the Packet Core team, you'll be instrumental in securing our market leadership in 5G, while continuously investing in sustainable technology solutions within a highly competitive market. A key element in our 5G strategy is the development and enhancement of the Session Management Function (SMF), which is crucial for managing network sessions in a dynamic mobile broadband environment.
What you will do:
• Drive the PDGs view on product vision and technology roadmap by e.g. system studies
• Interface towards Product Management and the business regions, System & Technology (S&T) for studies, standardization and pre-sales support
• Managing system requirements and artefacts, compliance to standards etc
• Drive system studies, feature analysis, 3GPP change request analysis and provide support to business regions
• Support feature development through the development cycle with close interaction with design teams, e.g. perform feature analysis
• Identify/improve requirements in the competence area and take responsibility for selected systems’ artifacts
• Management of system requirements throughout the life cycle of our products
The skills you bring:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant technical field.
• Proven experience in Telecom area
• Hands-on and proven experience & knowledge in one of the mentioned areas: System management, 3GPP and Packet Core
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lead a team and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Good communication skills and ability to explain technical information to non-technical
• Business Understanding
• Product Life Cycle Management knowledge
• Requirement Management knowledge
• Relating & Networking skills
• Skill to Adapt & Respond to Change
• Knowledge Sharing skills
• Communication and Presentation skills
• Fluent in English, written and oral
