Create the future for Ericsson’s 5G Radio Network products?
Work on visionary strategic projects? The market is moving very fast right now and the right choices have to be made. Where is the market heading? What solutions will bring the most value to society? What kind of networks will be build and by whom? Is the performance gain worth the increased cost?
Work with the latest technical challenges? Develop the best radio concepts based on new innovation in RF technology, Asic Design, Mechanics, Algorithms, Machine learning, you name it! The radio is a complex product the incorporate many disciplines. Innovation and patents are key!
Ensure a world-leading portfolio of Radio products to support all our customer’s needs, spanning from large high capacity products to small indoor 5G nodes, features to support the future networks demands in performance, low cost and maintenance.
Work with some of the most experienced radio engineers in the world? Constantly develop your competence together with highly competent and motivated colleagues.
Learn from our global organization? You will have a central role and work towards many other parts of Ericsson, such as Customer units all over the world, Ericsson Research and Design.

You will
You will capture the customer requirements together with customer units and product managers
Lead early systems studies of new technologies, Radio concepts, products and features
Participate in high-level system solutions in cooperation with other system- and design organizations
Coordinate with designers, program managers, line managers to successfully deliver solution proposals
Support design and verification activities
When needed, drive design choices to a conclusion
Report to Manager in Radio Solutions
To be successful in the role you must have
M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering / Engineering Physics / Wireless communication systems, or equivalent
Excellent English language skills
At least 2 years of experience in system design
More than 5 years of work experience with Radio Access Networks or radio base station development.
Ability to work with both short-term and long-term objectives, involving the big picture as well as implementation details
Self-motivation, drive and initiative
Strong analytical skills
Leadership skills
An effective approach to teamwork
