System Manager Public Cloud

About this opportunity
Ericsson R&D are now looking for System Managers that will play a meaningful role in the development of Ericsson Cloud Core Solutions. You will focus on our value offerings and especially how our application software for the 5G Core Solution deploys on Public Clouds.

The open positions are within the section Solution Design and System Management. This section consists of around 20 System Managers and Product Owners. You will be part of and collaborating with the System Manager team, and you will also coach and support the verification teams.

The focus of this role is to do solution design of Ericsson SW deployed on third party platforms and components. You will get the opportunity to work with deployments and installation aspects, doing studies on networking, capacity and performance tuning. Together with your colleagues, you will make sure that the performance and characteristics of the solutions are world class.


What you will do
Perform studies and investigations covering deployment, networking, characteristics, capacity, and other technical areas covering new features and solutions. The receiver of these studies are Product Line, Product Owners and Development/Verification Teams.
Produce Solution Requirements from input such as studies, markets and Business Management Teams.
Support Customer Units and support Quotations (Q&A, RFQs). E.g. have technical dialogue with CUs to understand customer requirements and customer feedback.
Identify and drive improvements in our solutions, products and way of working.



You will bring
Cloud Native and Virtualization competence (e.g. Kubernetes, Openstack)
Competence in Data Center technologies such as Linux and networking (routing & switching).
Experience from working with characteristics and non-functional requirements of SW
Experience of Public Cloud Systems
System Security
