Operations at IKEA IT provide IKEA with a reliable, yet flexible operation of the information system.With its 350 co-workers worldwide Operations secures that all IKEA applications run and are supported to meet the user needs.
In IKEA IT Operations Global Production WebSphere Team in Älmhult we are looking for a System Manager WebSphere and Oracle Integration Server with J2EE competence.
The primary responsibilities of the System Manager WebSphere will be to maintain and install components running on the WebSphere and Oracle Application Server product families.
What we do:
Handle incidents as fast and good as we can to minimize impact for IKEA's customers.We work with both infrastructure incidents as well as application incidents.
Be part of problem solving, both regarding infrastructure as well as application.
Competence/Knowledge
System Manager WebSphere
Good knowledge of/in:
" Development for and hosting of WebSphere and Oracle Application Server
" Database - Oracle 8i onwards
" Operating systems - AiX and Linux
" Java - J2EE Specification and framework, XML, Core Java, JavaScript
" Unix Shell scripting (SED/AWK)
" ANSI SQL, preferably with PL/SQL
" IBM EDGE Server
" BMC Patrol
" WebSphere MQ (Installation, up gradation, maintenance and preferably application programming)
" Manual and Automated testing process.Basic knowledge of Test Tools like Astra Plus/Load runner will be a plus
" Configuration Management process (exposure to minimum one tool like VSS)
" Requirement Engineering
" Modeling tools like ER Studio or ER Win
" Service catalogue and change reporting tool like HP Service Desk
Preferred background is a degree in Computer science or equivalent.A minimum of 4 to 5 years of total experience in IT, specifically in the above mentioned technologies is expected.A minimum exposure of ONE SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) will be preferred.Previous exposure to a 24X7X365 production support environment and experience in Team Co-ordination is mandatory.
In the role you need to:
" Be structured and work according to processes.Work experience in a high rated IT CMM organisation (preferably CMM 5), will be a definite plus.
" Be a problem solver.Proven capability in diverse IP (Industry Practise) is good to have.
" Have competence to act in order to achieve the expected quality in line with IKEA cost consciousness.
You are placed in Älmhult but work with global solutions.
