System Owner for Electrified Power Distribution

System Owner for Electrified Power Distribution

Arbetsbeskrivning

Be a part of our innovative team and build a sustainable future!

For our electrified vehicles, the perceived quality, performance, and usability of our power distribution and charging system are crucial in creating trust in the new technology and adding value for our customers. It is important for us to support our customers on their journey to sustainability and thus transform the transport industry.

We are now looking for a System Owner to be a part of that journey of electrified power distribution.

About the role

The System Owner's role covers a wide spectrum of the customers' experiences in using the electrified truck. The main focus will be on the Power Take Off (PTO) system for BEV vehicles. 50% of all trucks have PTO providing power to driving e.g. a crane, rotating a cement mixer, compacting refuse, operating a hook lift, a pump, maintaining a set temperature in a refrigerator box and a wide array of other body works all of which requiring power of some sort to operate it. The truck is merely the platform for the bodywork which is the main source of the customers’ businesses.

This means that you will be working closely together with customers, developers and a wide variety of cross-functions to define, build, introduce and manage the integrated PTO system in the vehicle system architecture and in doing this you will have a key role in contributing to the newly formed Value Creation Team (VCT) for PTO. The PTO functionality is highly integrated into the customer business, With a strong integration in the vehicle systems, important functionality with high customer impact can be realized.

Added complexity will be demanded from Cyber Security (legislation and Scania CSMS), the new SESAMM7 system and the mere fact that we’ve entered somewhat of an uncharted terrain within the commercial electrified vehicle domain where we, our customers and suppliers are paving the roads as we go. As a System Owner, you play a central role in this exciting electrification journey.

Whom you will join

We work in a lean-agile cross-functional setup including R&D, Sales & Marketing, Production and Purchasing to develop world-leading charging and power distribution customer value.

Who you are

You are technically driven, well organized and innovative with previous Scania experience of building system architecture and/or within functionality and system development and you find solutions in the interaction between hardware and software and with the people you work with. You have a strong customer ethos and you thrive in a cross-functional work environment where different people, domains and competencies meet. You have good communication skills, an open mindset with a scientific approach and a focus on the target.
