Scania is going through a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to be a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
In 2024 Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems will be mandatory on all heavy duty vehicles in Europe and Scania are focusing right now to introduce the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System in production that fulfils Cyber Security. During next year the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System needs to start being developed to be adapted for the China Market.
We are a group of 14 within Chassis System that are responsible of Steering Actuators and Tyre Pressure Monitoring. We are now searching for an enthusiastic and sharp system owner for our Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)!
Your tasks
You will be responsible for planning, develop and secure deliveries for Scania’s Tyre Pressure Monitoring System to make sure that Scania will continue fulfil legislations to be the natural choice for Scania’s customers. You will work closely with function owner within our group. Giving presentations within the project is also a natural part of your work. Your responsibility also includes escalating non-conformances within your line function and within the projects we deliver to.
To fully understand the product you are developing, you will need and get the opportunity to take a truck driver's license early on. This will allow you to gain a good understanding of Scania's end product and the system you are responsible for.
You will, through your role, build up a broad network within Scania from R&D and Purchasing to Production and Aftermarket. A close collaboration with our suppliers and friends within the TRATON group will give you exciting international contacts. This role as system owner is very varying and stimulating job that gives great opportunities to your future career within the whole TRATON Group.

You have a master or bachelor of science in areas like electronics/data/mechatronics/mechanics and have 2 to 5 years of experience in developing embedded systems preferably within automotive areas. You can communicate well in English and Swedish. Good communication skills in German is also meritorious.
