At Section Exterior Front, you are part of a global cross-functional development team with the task to develop and launch Volvo Car Groups coming car projects. You and your team handle systems and components of Exterior Front, which is a part of Exterior engineering department.

As System Project Leader, Model Year at Exterior Front, you will be a member of the management team of Exterior Front. We take pride in working in close cooperation to ensure that the entire section is involved in our common deliveries. You will therefore work in an environment that lacks prestige and focuses on what´s best for the section and the cars we are developing. We take great effort in creating a team spirit in the management team to share knowledge and experience among us. We believe that we are stronger as a team and we share the responsibility of developing the section and its co-workers.

We are looking for a person that will increase the diversity and competence in the management team. That will challenge our current best practice and that are willing to make a change. You will work in close cooperation with the project team at the section and will learn to know everyone. We believe that a person that is successful in this role is outspoken, curious and ambitious and is good at supporting our project leaders in their daily work. Our vision for the section is to be the most desired section to work at with staff that continuously grows, develops new technologies and ways of working.

Main responsibilities

* Lead the section's work in Model year programs, during all the program phases
* Lead and encourage the team to develop and achieve excellent program administration
* Quality assure our planning and be hands-on support to update the systems
* Work in close cooperation with our suppliers to assure deliveries from the section
* As part of the management team, contribute in leading and developing the Section with focus on our planning and system maintenance
* Direct contact with necessary departments within R&D

Required qualifications

* University degree or equivalent in Product Development, mechanical/automotiveengineering, or other relevant area
* Experience from development within automotive
* Knowledge of Volvo Cars program deliveries is meritorious
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Drivers's license B, valid in Sweden
