The group Charging & EGR Systems, within the section Boosting & Exhaust, is responsible for the development of Manifold & Turbochargers, Superchargers, E-chargers and EGR (exhaust gas recirculation). We are currently a group of 17 people divided into the following roles: Group Manager, Lead Engineer, Ratio Task Leader, System Responsible Engineers (SA3) and Component Responsible Engineers (Design Engineer).

As a System Responsible EGR you will work in a team consisting of System Responsible (SA), Component Responsible (Design Engineer) and Designer. The System Responsible main task is to identify all requirements within the system area and develop a product together with adjoining system areas in early phases of projects.

Main responsibilities

* Requirement specification to/from Volvo Car Group internal interfaces
* Requirement specification to suppliers
* Design Pre-requisite
* Engineering Statement of Work
* Work split between Volvo Car Group and the potential system suppliers
* Strategies, technical/logical plans and FMEA for the EGR system area
* Close co-operation with the supplier of the EGR system in early phases of projects
* Participate and lead the sourcing process for new project from the technical side
* Cross-functional co-operation with other areas within Powertrain and R&D on a system level
* Design guidelines

Required qualifications

* B.Sc. grade within mechanics, physics or a similar education/experience
* Good knowledge and several years' experience of product development within automotive
* Driven, structured, good analytical skills and a great technical interest
* B driver's license
* Fluent in English, spoken and written
