The section Security and Body Electronics within the Electronics department has responsibilities that stretches from early phases until launch of new cars. We develop customer functionality, handles project management, analysis, verification, hardware and software. The technical responsibility covers many of the security systems in the vehicle, such as Access, Locking & Alarm, but also a number of electronic control units, for instance the centrally positioned Body Control Module. The section is also home to a group with the responsibility of in-house developed Software to the Body Control Module. The section consist of four groups, two engineering design groups, one Software-development group, and one Verification group, and has approximately 60 employees. We are now looking for a System Responsible to join our team.

As System Responsible you will be a part of the strategic technical development in early phases with a good opportunity to influence the next generation of technology and system solutions within the area of Security & Body electronics. You will lead a small team of system developers with the task to establish the best system solution for each car project. In this role you will be part of a large company and you will face a wide variety of interfaces in the position as system responsible. You will be heavily involved in benchmarking activities and you will determine the advanced engineering strategy within the section. You will be part of the section's management team and report to the section manager.

Main responsibilities

* Project deliverables during early phases of car projects
* Secure function development together with function owners at the section
* Lead a team of five system engineers to deliver system solutions
* Establish project budgets in all car projects
* Initiate and lead benchmarking activities within the section
* Responsible of initiating, leading and coordinating the strategic technical development within the section in order to constantly secure future technology solutions in our cars
* Report to the section manager and have the mandate to report out the system development status in the project structure
* Act as project leader during early phases of car projects and ensure project status report out, in order to detect and eliminate possible deviations within projects

Required qualifications

* University degree within engineering, preferably Electronics/Computer
* Around 5 years previous experience in relevant area
* Experience from technical product development and project management
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
* Driver's licence (B-level)
* Experience from the automotive and the electronic development process is meritorious

* Great communicator with excellent cooperation skills
* Capacity to lead a team as well as being self driven, target oriented and ability to encourage others
* Business and performance driven with customer focus
* Structured, with the experience of summarising and presenting the current status of you work
* Ability to work cross-functional and preparedness to take the lead in cross-functional work
* Ability to work independently and with the experience of developing valid prerequisites independently
