Description
As System Safety and/or Cyber Security Engineer, you will work within our customers Safety team. The main objective is to contribute to the development and deliveries of safe products and services to our customers. The work will in many cases be done in close cooperation with other teams. The activities cover the complete development cycle, for example: functional safety impact analysis, hazard analysis and risk assessment, functional and technical safety concepts, safety case, system safety joint reviews with suppliers and verification reviews.
Examples of major tasks/activities
• Proactively support R&D organization with all aspects of functional safety & cyber security in vehicle projects, (for example: technical guidance, way of working, review)
• Perform verification reviews of functional safety work products.
• Perform technical review of concepts and solutions from functional safety perspective.
• A wide working arena ranging from high-level conceptual development to hands on implementation of cyber security solutions including process and methodology.
• Support product development to formulate security business objectives, analyze product cyber security risks
• Identify high-level cyber security requirements and define risk mitigations in the context of electrical and/or electronic systems
• Perform System Safety Joint Reviews with suppliers in vehicle projects, considering ISO 26262.
• Support System Safety Managers in vehicle projects regarding functional safety plan and follow-up.
• Contribute to training as well as development and maintenance of process, guideline and templates.


Requirements:
• Hands-on experience of working with system and/or functional safety from the automotive industry.
• Broad understanding of cyber security concepts, preferably through a few years of experience from industry or academic research in the area of cyber security.
• You have good knowledge about ISO 21434 and its related ISO standards (like ISO 24089, ISO 26262 etc.).
• Ability to work both on a concept level as well as implementing those concepts in prototypes and serial setups
• Good knowledge about automotive electrical system, architecture and software.
• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electrical, Computer Engineering, IT or equivalent area.
