Within AFRY, we develop and deliver solutions for vehicles, systems, functions and attributes to customers in the automotive industry. Our customers are both established OEM’s, startup companies and system suppliers (Tier 1). We operate all over the world; mainly in Sweden, China, Brazil, US and UK.
We are now looking for a System Safety Engineer to our Electrical/Electronics & Embedded Systems team within Automotive R&D in Gothenburg. You will be part of a growing a team that develops the Electro Mobility, Connectivity, Driverless- and Advanced Driver Assist Systems of the future.
You will work in the development of complex electrical systems according to ISO 26262 for safety-critical applications in the automotive domain. As a consultant at AFRY, you get a variety of work. You can either work at one of our local customers, or be in our office and work in our exciting projects together with other AFRY colleagues.
As System Safety Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that the appropriate level of safety, quality and reliability is achieved and maintained for the products throughout the project. This task is performed in close cooperation with different functional areas mainly within system controlling motion control, steering, braking and propulsion. You will be part of development of safety concepts, -requirements and participate at technical reviews together with functional teams and suppliers, as well as contribute to the creation of the overall functional safety documentation according to ISO 26262.
You will join an experienced team with valuable knowledge from all Automotive domains. It’s not a challenge nor an opportunity - It is both.
Who are you?
You are a brave and devoted team player with knowledge in automotive Engineering covering both vehicle mechanical and electrical system architectures. Good if you have deep knowledge in at least one vehicle domain about electrical / electronic hardware and embedded software / functions, and an ability for interpreting requirements from design to production.
Your academic background is a Bachelor or Master degree, you have at least 4 years’ experience in automotive electrical systems development! You have basic knowledge of ISO 26262 or a will to learn it intensively. You are familiar with the use of requirement management tools like e.g. System Weaver, DOORS, Electra, if you also have work experience with software quality and processes like e.g. CMMI and Automotive SPICE you are the perfect candidate. It is also nice if you have a good understanding of from Model-Based Development. Your business English is fluent both verbally and in writing and you communicate easily with both peers and upper management. It is an advantage, but not a requirement, to also know Swedish. A Swedish driver license type B is required.
