System Safety Engineer to Business Unit Radar Solutions

The system safety team is looking for new colleagues in times of many interesting projects. Is it you we are looking for? Are you an system safety engineer interested in functional safety? As a system safety engineer you will be able to work with all our products at Saab's Business Unit Radar Solutions



Your role

A system safety engineer has a specialised knowledge and skills in applying engineering principles, criteria and techniques. You will analyse and document identified hazards in order to eliminate the hazard or reduce the associated risk for a product. This is performed in close cooperation with different functional areas such as system design, software, mechanics and power.

The main tasks focusing on functional safety are:

Participation in project activities
*

Define and perform system safety activities
*

Analyse and document hazards in order to fulfil legal and customers' requirements
*

Develop and maintain our system safety processes and integration with other processes



Your profile

As a person you are self-motivated and used to efficiently collaborate with team members as well as other stakeholders. You are structured and like to take responsibility.

Desired skills:

*

Bachelor or master degree in engineering
*

Understanding and analysing complex issues and problems
*

Appreciate working both independently and in teams
*

Experience of general product development and product lifecycle
*

Experience in functional safety
*

Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, verbal and written



This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.



What you will be a part of

You will work together with experienced engineers and professionals in an environment that fosters career development and personal growth. You will be part of the Business Unit Radar Solutions that develop products that are integrated in naval, ground and air systems. The team you will join consists of 8 system safety engineers based in Gothenburg. Radar Solutions is part of the Business Area Surveillance.
