System Simulation Expert

We are looking for an expert in developing system-level simulator to emulate End-to-End communication scenarios such as BTS to UE in cellular networks, and WiFi router to WiFi UE for indoor LAN. Channel modelling is a key enabler in system simulation, which describes radio wave propagation through a defined environment, indoor, outdoor, and outdoor-to-indoor etc. As a technical expert, you are expected to technically lead and participate in top-down system research activities, i.e. analyzing and defining requirements in subsystem through system simulation study.
Responsibilities
Research on system simulation and channel modelling, including simulator development.
Research on top-down system analysis to derive key requirements on mobile terminals in various communication scenarios, including requirements on antenna, RF transceiver performance.
Evaluation of new ideas and new architectures through simulation.
Qualifications requirements
MSc or PhD in Communication Engineering, Signal Processing, Computational Electromagnetics, or equivalent background.
5+ years of work experience in wireless communication system performance evaluation and optimization.
Deep knowledge in the following areas:
o Channel modelling in wireless communication.
o 5G NR system architecture, transceiver components and standards.
o Phase array antenna system.
o Modelling of joint communication and sensing system.
o Computational electromagnetics.
Proficient skills in Python programming and channel modelling simulation tools.
Should be able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team with good communication skills.
Self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Should be able to travel in Europe and China.
