We are looking for a backup & recovery System Specialist to support IKEAs IT infrastructure in Älmhult/Helsingborg

IT @ IKEA is a global organization providing IKEA with business solutions, service and support - just as cost efficient as user friendly. We manage the information flow between customers, suppliers and co-workers. This is what our co-workers in Helsingborg, Älmhult, Dortmund, Shanghai and Philadelphia, together with external partners, are doing every day.

The primary responsibilities will be to maintain IKEAs Backup/recovery infrastructure.

You will be part of a global storage team of six System Specialists and four Product specialists operating
in Philadelphia, Sweden and Shanghai. Initially, you will share central responsibility of administrating the Backup/Recovery environment. Typical working areas will be to support projects, maintain documentation, handle incidents/changes, test, tune and monitor central backup and recovery environment. Placement of the position is flexible between Helsingborg and Älmhult.

Is this your next challenge?
To be successful in this role, you need to have several years of experience from working in the area.
Preferably we see that you have:
Good knowledge of working with standards.
Good project knowledge skills.
A positive and service minded attitude.
Are able to work cross-functional through the organization.

We also think you have at least 2 years of working experience of/in:
Enterprise backup solution preferably experience with IBM Spectrum Protect (formerly Tivoli Storage Manager)
Enterprise backup media: purpose-built backup appliances, virtual tape library, (preferably experience with EMC Data Domain) Oracle RMAN backup.

Therefore we believe that you are a strongly driven person with a proactive approach who like to work together with others and use your communication skills to be able to co-operate in the best way. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as the position requires you to be able to structure information and derive conclusions and consequences from that data. You have an effective delivery focused mindset with a mix of patience and persistence. Since you will be working in an international environment you must be fluent in English both verbally and in writing.
