System Specialist – Linux, IKEA IT

Your main assignment in this role is to support our Product Specialist and Infrastructure Solution Area Designer for the Linux technical platform with project support, product life cycle management work, and knowledge transfer to the operational support teams. You are expected to stay up-to-date with current industry standards in order to help developing the service offer in this area towards future needs and requirements.

You have a technical background, and deep knowledge from working with Enterprise Linux environments preferably Red Hat.

The Web & Mobile Infrastructure Operations team, responsible for keeping the lights on for this massive site and programme, is operating right from the very heart of IKEA – Älmhult, Sweden! Despite the small size and location of this unique little town, the team has a very international atmosphere with co-workers originating from Sweden, England, Ireland, Iceland, India and Hungary.
