System Support Engineer

We are looking for a System Support Engineer who wants to deliver remote support for our installed and implemented AGV solutions. You will join our support team and be a part of an organization on the MOVE.

Toyota Material Handling Europe is one of the world's largest suppliers of material handling solutions, both within forklifts and related products and services. The subsidiary Logistics Solutions (TMHLS) which is a central part of the development and innovation part of Toyota Material Handling is located at Frihamnen in Gothenburg. Logistics Solutions develops solutions for warehouse Automation and has 150 employees.

In the role of a System Support Engineer, you are responsible to deliver remote support for our installed and implemented AGV solutions. Therefore, you need to actively analyse, verify, and solve software and system issues in customer environments. Strong communications skills are needed because we are interacting with our international organizations but also directly with our end customers daily. You will be working with our established support and service processes but are also able to play an active role in improving and refining them.

As a System Support Engineer, you will be performing updates, patches, and changes to customer systems and therefore you need to have a high-quality standard for any given task. Coordination and communication are a major part of the support delivery while interacting with internal and external departments.

Core Responsibilities
* Deliver technical (remote) support for our installed AGV systems
* Follow up, monitor, and actively handle incoming support tickets
* In depth investigation of issues
* Actively handle and drive change requests
* Make changes to the automation system to support customer requirements
* Maintain and develop documentation for support activities
* Actively feedback quality issues to Product owners and R&D (support level 4)
* Adhere to and help improve processes and KPIs

Your Profile

As a person, you have both strong interpersonal and communication skills. You are a team player who has an interest in presentations and negotiation. You thrive when you get to network and drive projects. Your profile requires the following:
* We are looking for someone with a bachelor or master's degree with Mechatronics or Automation or Production engineering or two-year experience in delivering Kollmorgen or Toyota AGV or Siemens PLC systems
* Advantageous to have knowledge on PLC programming
* Advantageous to have knowledge on programming languages like C++, phyton
* You need to be able to diagnose, rectify and manage issues in complex automation systems
* You can express yourself professionally in English (orally and in writing)
* Good communication, presentation, negotiation, and strong interpersonal skills are needed
* Willingness to provide 24/7 on-call support on a predefined schedule at least once a month
* Some travels to visit MSCOs and supported sites are to be expected, but not on a regular basis
