System Support Engineer - ICS

Technogarden Engineering Resources is a consulting firm that offers highly competent engineering consultants and works with recruitment of engineering specialists and managers.We are a fully owned subsidiary of Norconsult AS, Norway's largest consulting engineering company.Technogarden has 260 employees and is expanding rapidly. One of our largest clients in Norway, Kongsberg Maritime, is now looking to engage more engineering consultants to work with Integrated Control Systems (ICS).Kongsberg Maritime delivers systems for positioning, surveying, navigation and automation to merchant vessels and offshore installations.They are a market leader in dynamic positioning systems, automation and surveillance systems, process automation, satellite navigation and hydroacoustics.Important markets include countries with large offshore and shipyard industries.ICS at Kongsberg is responsible for running Integrated Control System (ICS) projects in the "high end market".They aim at high competence and correct capacity to run these complex projects.Job description Working as one of Technogarden's engineering consultants you will have the opportunity to experience different assignments in different environments. In this assignment at our client Kongsberg Maritime you will have the following tasks: .nPost system delivery support .Upgrades on current and previous versions of ICS/PM systems .Technical support and problem solving regarding software tasks or combined software/hardware tasks .Performing all activities according to pre-defined routines and standards .Give technical assistance and support both in-house and on site when being on call .Update the service desk and other documentation .Report errors on delivered equipment and suggest improvement Qualifications You have a higher technical degree in Electronics, Instrumentation or Control Engineering and have the ability to handle multiple tasks.You are client focused service minded and enjoy working in a hectic environment.In this assignment you are required to travel a great deal as your work is determined on a day to day basis depending on clients' needs.Your English is excellent as well as your interpersonal skills.You are practical, have a hands-on approach to complex tasks and an interest in working in an international environment.You must also meet the health requirements that apply for offshore work.What can we offer in Norway?Technogarden offers an international, dynamic and creative environment, career opportunities in different fields and competence development within several fields and disciplines.For consultants from outside of Norway, Technogarden supports housing and travel arrangements on a weekly or monthly basis.
