We are looking to recruit a System Test Engineer to join us in Västerås.
Based in Västerås, we have a vibrant and diverse team of people working in the Propulsion System Testing Team. There is a great set of mixed competencies, junior to senior, and a strong team spirit in place. The team has a lot of collaborations cross-functionally, and there are numerous of opportunities to learn from other specialist as well as to share your own competence and learnings with others. Purpose of the job
The System Test Engineer will be responsible to plan and test activities for cooling systems, with components such as heat exchangers, fans, pumps and air filters. Testing of electrical systems and components is also part of job. The role includes a variation of practical testing, theoretical work, analysis, development of test methodology and test processes. Most of the time is spent in our test lab. The role mainly includes internal clients, and you will collaborate with various cross-functional teams and specialists. The System Test Engineer will have opportunity to influence the future shape of our tests, take part in development of new products, to grow and expand its competence within the field of its own expertise.
Key responsibilities:
- Planning and coordination of cooling and mechanical test setup, both mechanical and electrical including instrumentation.
- Critically review test procedures.
- Test commissioning and safety cheeks.
- Perform prototype and type test including reporting off measurement data and evaluation of test results.
- Perform investigation test.
- Development of test methods and processes.

Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in engineering within own area of expertise
- Experience of experimental activity
- Understanding and knowledge of V&V activities influence on propulsion system through entire life cycle.
- Strong communicator
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or equivalent technical education
- Fluent in Swedish and English
