System Tester to Ericsson, Recruitment

Academic Work Recruitment is now looking for system testers for employment with Ericsson to work within the National Security and Public Safety areas that includes emergency centers, cellular networks and dedicated mission critical communication equipment.Their customers are governments, emergency services (e.g.ambulances and fire department), defense and law enforcement.These open positions focus on Emergency Response Solutions.The main product is CoordComT, a system for command and control for emergency response.Their concept has been developed over a long period of time, in close cooperation with advanced public safety organizations in Sweden and abroad.Ericsson s challenge is to develop the next generation of CoordComT, fulfilling the requirements of several large European emergency organizations.Job description: The R&D department is strengthening its Test and Verification unit starting with two open positions.They work in projects and teams.Your, and your team's, main responsibilities will be to study requirement specifications and make time estimates regarding different activities during the development phase, write test specifications and map them to related requirements, review test specifications together with designers, system managers and others and execute test cases and document the results.It will also be your responsibility to write trouble reports with relevant error logs attached, find faults and verify corresponding corrections to the software.There will be opportunities to work in development and maintenance projects Ericsson will have a technical introduction program for you to ensure that you have sufficient knowledge of their products and a mentor to guide you in your development. Qualifications/Requirements: Suitable candidates should have: .A MSc or BSc or equivalent; .Excellent communication and collaboration skills; . Good overall knowledge of the Microsoft environment - such as Microsoft XP, Windows 2003 Server, Microsoft SQL Server .Experience from Emergency response or its corresponding agencies . Previous test/validation experience for SW . Test and verification methods including processes and tools .
