Volvo Autonomous Solutions V.A.S. is a new entity within the Volvo Group with the mission to offer transport and material handling solutions never seen before. Global Technology Area Verification & Validation is driving several major activities within Autonomous Driving development chain including Verification & Validation, System Integration and Data Analytics.
Transport Mission & Vehicle Testing group within GTA V&V is driving innovative test method development, and test execution as part of System Verification and Validation of Autonomous Driving products. The test environments used are simulation environment, HIL and physical vehicles. We are today a team of 13 members, from different cultural backgrounds and on our journey to become the best at what we do, we also strive to have a lot of fun at work. Our team is expanding and we are now looking for a System Verification Engineer, which will be located in Eskilstuna, with the drive and passion to be a part of this journey with us.
WHAT WE HAVE TO OFFER
As a System Verification Engineer, you will perform test analysis of all inputs available, create interesting test cases and verify/validate Autonomous Driving functions/Use Cases and other parts of our future Automated Driving solutions. You will work mainly on real heavy machines or trucks. You will also participate and support in the development of the process and method improvements in order to increase the product quality. Together we will shape excellence.
WHO ARE YOU?
You will be working with different entities and teams, so your communication and collaboration skills are key to be successful in this role. As you will be working in a global company, excellent English skills are important and other languages considered to be a merit. You will set new structures and processes together with your new team members, so a proactive approach and solution-oriented mindset are essential. You love the challenge in finding efficient solutions and you are thorough at your job. We see you having knowledge of the different automated equipment and methods for testing/monitoring/steering a system under testing and logging the data. If you´ve worked with physical vehicle testing, this is the role for you! Other requirements we see beneficial for the position are:
Degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience
Documented experience as Functional Verification Engineer
Autonomous Driving/Autonomous Driving Autonomous Solutions Functional Verification/Testing experience is a merit
Driver license C (truck) is a merit
