Systems and algorithm engineer

Arbetsbeskrivning

What we do at Acconeer
Acconeer is a young and innovative company listed on Nasdaq First North developing a 60 GHz/mmW pulsed coherent radar based on research from Lund University. The Acconeer radar sensor combines extremely low power consumption with sub-mm distance estimation accuracy. It opens for detection of micro-motion, objects’ direction estimation, material classification, human breathing measurement and much more, all within a sensor sized 5x5 mm including antennas.
We are currently a group of around 50 people with high R&D focus and great spirit based in Västra hamnen in Malmö, working closely together over the R&D disciplines - hardware, software, system and algorithm research and development. We have a large and growing international customer base in the consumer, industrial and automotive segments.

We are looking for a systems engineer to the Systems and algorithm team!
The System team consists of ten sharp engineers doing work all the way from early system studies to quality assurance, closely aligned with the rest of the company. We are responsible for setting systems requirements for coming radar ASIC generations and doing algorithm development for new use cases while ensuring the radar data quality. We are really deep into exploring, designing and optimizing our pride – the Acconeer radar system.
The most important and crucial part of how we work at Acconeer is the way we work together as one team. Problems and solutions are discussed, ideas are welcomed and encouraged, and we have a strong culture of helping and supporting. You have a chance to excel in things you do very well as well as to try out things you haven´t tried before. And you will always have a team supporting and cheering you on.
We are expanding our product offering and therefore need the right person to join us who can focus on system studies and algorithms for our coming chipsets. We would love to see that you have experience from ASIC system and block design, modelling and simulations in Matlab or Python as well as general signal processing. Experience of mmW technology is meriting. We expect you to have at least a M.Sc. degree, and definitely a curious mind and openness for continuous learning. Your primary task is to collaborate with the systems and algorithm architects as well as ASIC architects and designers. You will deliver for example simulation results or calculations of energy consumption and link budgets, create research and study reports, prototype algorithm code and be part of low level trouble shooting and system optimization.

Who we are at Acconeer
At Acconeer we depend on and love new ideas and initiatives. We have Innovation Day a couple of times each year when it is free to play around with any of your crazy ideas that you might have and we have a generally innovative mindset. As we are a small company with open minded employees it is always easy to discuss with people outside your team to satisfy your hunger for knowledge. We love working in a scaleup where we have real possibilities to influence both the product and the ways of working. We get to work with cutting edge technology in close collaboration with our colleagues. If you feel the same way about teamwork and amazing technology, we´d love to meet you! Please send your application to info@acconeer.com. We will evaluate applications continuously. For questions, contact recruiting manager Kåre Agardh at +46-70-5513618.
