Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

In the Diagnostics Architecture group we enable Scania to offer products with the diagnostic capabilities that keeps our products up to date, and on the road at all times by working with software updates, data logging, failure reports, service predictability, diagnostics communication etc. Together we analyse the needs and make sure that the architecture provides a robust and manageable electrical system for sustainable transportation, electrification, connectivity and autonomous vehicle solutions of the future. Understanding the bigger picture and future needs is part of our work but we also dive in to the technical details of software, hardware and protocols.

Your duties
As a Systems Architect, your work is an important element in the further development of Scania’s electrical system. The focus is in the future. To realize future capabilities, tools and methods for diagnostics and uptime by developing system design and selecting technical solutions.

The diagnostics architecture team is a small team with a great mix of background and knowledge with a combined cross-functional view on embedded systems, vehicle functions and diagnostics. We work together in the team, and with a wide development organization to build sustainable and balanced solutions. Our field of work is present all over Scania as well as in the VW-group. Our co-workers range from hardware developers to software developers as well as cloud developers to name a few. To facilitate the big picture view needed in this job, you will be involved in all project phases, all the way from early concept development to production launch. 

Your profile
You have a college or university degree in engineering and at least three years’ professional experience within embedded systems. Architecture experience in development of embedded systems is an advantage, and so is also experience in vehicle diagnostics. You are a true team-mate. You find it easy to cooperate and enjoy creating concepts together with others. You have the ability to create the big picture as well as see the details. You are driven and motivated. You are fluent in both written and spoken Swedish and English. If you speak German it is an advantage.
