We are looking for a System Engineer for our Embedded System Development team in Stockholm, Sweden. Our location at the waterfront in Liljeholmen is a leading engineering site of Alstom’s Digital & Integrated Solutions division, with long experience of rail signalling technology development.

Purpose of the Job
As a System Engineer, you will identify input requirements, formalize them into design requirements and interface specifications for our products. This includes liaising with customers, systems engineers, validators, assessors and homologation authorities and other stakeholders.
In addition, the definition and documentation of the system-related documentation will be part of your work scope, such as maintaining and following up user and installation manuals. You will be working in a cross-functional project team, closely together with HW/SW-developers, safety engineers and testers.

Your responsibilities will include:
Identification of stakeholder requirements and applicable standards.
Defining system requirements, architecture, system context and interfaces.
Create technical concepts and support product management with technical expertise.
Support implementers, integrators, testers and validators in understanding the design and the requirements, including conception of safety measures for presentation to assessors and involved teams.
Produce appropriate documentation on all required levels relating to both product and process including verification of test specifications and module design specifications.
Evaluate non-conformities, perform Lessons Learned and initiate action to remedy system failures.
Support in Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety analysis and performance optimisation.
Key requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical, Computer Science, Applied Physics or similar).
Proven record of experience working with requirements, specifications and documentation of complex technical systems (Embedded Systems Development, Electrical System Design, or similar development/design).
Experience from Rail, Medtech, Aerospace or other safety critical systems development is meriting.
Experience of requirement management in DOORS or other requirement management systems.
Experience of development according to safety standards such as CENELEC (EN50126, EN50128, EN50129) or equivalent.
Experience with the methodologies for analysing and specifying systems including safe functions.
Good understanding of product life cycle management and configuration management.
Good knowledge and experience of time critical embedded systems preferred.
English at a fluent level is mandatory for this role, Swedish will be considered a plus.
Excellent social, communication and presentation skills.
