Systems Engineer

As a Systems Engineer at Aptiv, you will play a key role in influencing the multimedia systems in the cars and trucks of the future, by working with some of the world’s largest brands in the automotive industry. Imagine being able to proudly say in a few years “I worked on this product”, when cars and trucks are launched with new innovative features that enhance the driver and user experience.
To us nothing is impossible, you will have autonomy to explore your curiosity, having fun and celebrating success along the way as ONE team. You will be part of the Project Execution Team in Sweden, consisting of other System Engineers, System Architects, System Leads, Software Project Managers and Technical Managers.
Your Role:
Defining and analyzing customer requirements and technical specifications
Defining product functionality and creating technical documentation
Define System Design for a defined System Function or System Domain. Negotiate design with System Architect and design stakeholders
Active cooperation with software, hardware, testing and validation engineers
Maintaining cooperation between the technical center and the production department in the field of the developed product
Active cooperation with the client, taking care of the good image of the company
Supervising the implementation process and implementation of requirements
Monitoring technical and formal aspects of product development
Participation in project meetings, presentation of work effects in front of the client

Your Background:
You have a higher education with an engineering profile
Experience as a system engineer, programmer, tester, quality engineer or similar
Basic knowledge of electronics and microprocessor systems (embedded systems)
Knowledge of CAN, LIN, MOST, FlexRay and Ethernet as well as experience in dealing with the corresponding development tools
Functional safety/ISO 26262 experience or experience from safety critical systems development when assigned to ASIL classified function/ domain
Highly developed communication skills and professionalism in contact with our clients
Responsibility and timely implementation of tasks / ability to work within a strict time frame
Openness to knowledge and the ability to search for solutions
Fluent English
