Senior systems engineer
Be part in developing the future generation of heavy industrial trucks – welcome to the exciting industry of non-road mobile machinery. Industrial trucks contain a huge variety of technologies, such as powertrains, electric drives, electric energy storage, hydraulics, vehicle automation, HMI/GUI, machine control, and digitalization. We work in a global environment, with people in Sweden, Italy, France and China, and partners all over the world.


Work tasks:
A major work task is to optimize system architecture and variants towards various criteria relating to functionality, energy efficiency, performance, modularity, technical solution, functional safety, maintainability, reliability and cost. This applies to vehicle level as well as subsystems and critical components.
Another work task is requirement management, i.e. to define, manage, allocate and specify system requirements to various levels of the design, and to define the corresponding process to verify and validate the outcome.
In the role, you will also lead cross-functional teams with both internal- and external members, many coming from strategic development partners.


In this senior role, you shall have:
MSc in engineering physics/electrical/machinery with at least five years relevant work experience, of which three years in an international R&D/engineering organization.
Demonstrated skills in technical project management.
Demonstrated skills in systems engineering.
Experience from system simulation and analysis
Skills in formal methods and tools for requirements management
Good technical understanding in machine control
Good technical understand in software engineering
Good technical understanding in vehicle dynamics
Experience from reliability engineering
Good high-level skills in industrial vehicle related engineering fields, such as mechanics powertrain, electric drivers, hydraulics, battery technology for EV applications
Understanding of model based development

You must also be able to switch focus from high level system perspective to detailed technical issues. You are keen to learn continuously and apply new technology and methods. You must be able to express yourself at a professional level in speech and writing, and be fluent in English.
