This is what your new colleagues do
At Core System Platform we are building a computer-in-the-car architecture, a key for enabling innovation within areas such as Advanced Connectivity, Machine Learning, and Autonomous Drive. Our mission is to create a Vehicle Control Unit platform using new technologies like DriveOS and NVIDIA’s latest chip technology in combination with more traditional car signalling technologies. We are dedicated to delivering platform functions simplifying the application development to create a safe, reliable, and secure platform solution within Volvo Cars for increased innovation and speed.
Within Core System Platform the low power team is responsible for the creation and deployment of a system that handles the low power functionality scenarios. Here, we’re looking for an experienced Requirements Engineer.
What you will do
As a Requirements Engineer within Core System Platform, you will define and own the requirement process for the Low Power area. This includes feasibility analyses, defining software and process verification criteria, and balancing internal and external stakeholders. You will ensure agreement of requirements with legal codes as well as documentation. You will focus on quality and consistency of the software requirements of our product area, while defining validation criteria together with our software developers. You will ensure that our requirements are both comprehensive and thoroughly described. You will negotiate new requirements with our stakeholders, while you continuously inform our developers about updates. You will carefully keep track of change requests, project timelines, and gaps between requirements and implementation. You will be the central contact of our area when it comes to requirement handling and improvement to ensure a world-leading software platform.

You and your skills
Mandatory requirements:
You have 3+ years of industry experience in handling software requirements, such as requirement analysis, breakdown, specification documentation (SRS), and refinement of requirements
You show proven excellence in handling embedded software systems
You’re a holder of a university degree within Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or similar
You are an excellent networker and surely cross-functional with great communication skills
You are fluent in spoken and written English
Good to have
You have been working with system architecture
You have knowledge in UDS Diagnostics
You have knowledge in Automotive SPICE
You have knowledge in the CAN bus standard
You are an excellent networker and surely cross-functional with great communication skills
You have been working successfully in an agile or lean environment
Your “think-outside-of-the-box-attitude” is valued by your co-workers
You have fun teaching and explaining complex correlations
