We are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future.
You will work in the BMS team for the business entity Northvolt Systems. This team consists of 8 people, working together in our Stockholm office. The team's long term goal is to provide BMS architecture and algorithms for all different systems that are developed by Northvolt Systems. In this role, you will contribute with algorithm development for ESS and industrial programs.
You will collaborate with system engineering, embedded software, testing and validation teams for successful and precise implementation of customer requirements.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Modelling and parametrization of Lithium-ion batteries
- Developing estimation algorithms for battery management systems
- Design of experiments for testing and validation of algorithms
- Creating cell level and systems level battery performance test specifications
- Development of physics-based battery aging model
- Reporting and root-cause analysis of commissioned systems in the field and/or laboratory
- Understanding and breaking down customer requirements to application software level ****

Skills & Requirements
We believe that you have :
BSc/MSc in Systems, Control and Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Mechatronics or similar fields
Good knowledge of control theory topics such as linear system theory, optimization, estimation theory, system identification, discrete control systems, optimal control theory etc.
Experience with designing advanced controllers and estimators
Firm background of mathematics, physics and dynamic systems
Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink is a must
Python and C/C++ is an advantage
Experience with embedded systems and RTOS is preferable
Excellent written and oral English communication skills
Fluency in other languages (Japanese, Swedish, Chinese, French)
Experience from a multi-cultural environment
Self-driven and team player
