We are looking for a systems engineer to Platform and Weapons within BU Gripen Sustainment. We have a very interesting time ahead of us, securing the operating capability and relevance beyond 2035 for Gripen C/D. You will be a part of this, working within the area of Aeronautical Engineering and Weapons.
Your role
You will mainly work as a systems engineer within our Aeronautical Engineering and Weapons team, responsible for sustainment of existing systems as well as integrations of new systems. Combined with the role as a systems engineer you will also have the opportunity to work as project manager.
In this role you will have interfaces to systems engineers, responsible for other domains, chief engineers and material group managers as well as other business units, our customers and suppliers. You will also be a part of Platforms and Weapons management team.
You will work with:
* Participate in integration of new weapons and external loads together with responsible project manager.
* Technical meetings and discussions with customer and suppliers.
* Technical strategies for material groups within Aeronautical Engineering and Weapons.
* Sustainment strategies for material groups within Aeronautical Engineering and Weapons.
* Participate in the work with estimates, responsible for Statement of Work and Statement of Change.
* Managing project.
Your profile
You have a proven knowledge within the area of Weapons integration and/or Aeronautical engineering, but still with a large interest in learning new skills both inside och outside of your competence area.
It is also important that you are comfortable in social contexts, the role implies many interfaces both inside and outside SAAB.
Required skills:
* BSc or MSc or relevant work experience
* Excellent communication skills in English, verbal and written
* Experience as System and/or Systems engineer.
Desired skills:
* Experience within systems sustainment
* Experience in project management
* Proven knowledge in technical leadership
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

Platform and Weapons is a part of Aircraft System Design & Development within BU Gripen Sustainment. Platform and Weapons are responsible for Airframe, Vehicle Systems, Weapons and Aeronautical engineering. Today the management team consist of five employees, working with management and technical management. We have a close collaboration with BU Gripen Design regarding competence and resources.
