Your role

Saab Air Traffic Management is expanding and looking for an additional systems engineer to join our Tower Systems team in Sweden (Gothenburg or Växjö) or The Netherland (Apeldoorn). The right candidate will work with exciting and challenging tasks and collaborate with experienced colleagues in an environment that fosters career development and personal growth.


The work is team-based and the team will be involved during the entire life cycle of a project. The systems engineers will assist with sales support, perform requirements analysis, develop requirement specifications, configure the system, participate in testing and validation of both hardware and software and participate during installation and commissioning at customer site.


This is a multifaceted position that requires collaboration not only with your teammates, but also with system developers, project managers and other internal and external stakeholders. As the team delivers systems to airports all around the world, you will be on international business trips approximate six to eight weeks per year for site activities such as installation, testing and commissioning. The trips generally range from a few days to one or two weeks at a time.

Your profile

You hold at least a bachelor degree in a technical field or have equivalent work experience. In addition, you at least 3 years' experience in a similar role and have a great interest in technical and complex systems, preferably within Air Traffic Management.


You are a driven and motivated person who appreciates continuous learning and has the ability to find creative solutions to unexpected challenges. Since we work team-based and interact with customers, it is important that you are open and communicative with good collaboration skills. You are available for international business travel and are fluent in English.


You will work in one or more customer projects towards set deadlines, which requires great planning skills and the ability to prioritize your work efficiently. Even the best of plans will however sometimes fail and it is therefore important that you are able to adapt quickly to changing conditions.

This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.
