Systems Engineer - Consumer Electronics

Job Description
As a Systems Engineer at Aptiv, you will play a key role in influencing Aptiv’s in-car infotainment systems, by working with some of the world’s largest brands in the automotive industry. Your Role:


Elicit, retrieve, review, negotiate and approve customer requirements.
Prioritize and plan system design and verification activities according to System Plan, Project Plan or PI plan.
Define and negotiate System Design with Architect’s and stakeholders.
Initiate analyses and review of design (e.g. D-FMEA, peer review, safety analyses).
Perform design analyses and System Verification Methods.
Ensure Verification is performed for system verification (e.g. Verification on corrected errors).
Ensure traceability of requirement, design and verification work products according project procedures.
Execute configuration, change and error management according to project procedures.
Support and participate in development of project’s process and methods.
Follow up plan progress and assess risks. Escalate when not able mitigate risks to meet agreed plans according the defined escalation path.

Your Background:


University qualification with 3+ years of Systems Engineering experience.
Knowledge in the field of vehicle bus systems (CAN, LIN, MOST, FlexRay, and Ethernet) as well as experience in dealing with the corresponding development tools
Experience in working with multiplex/distributed systems in an Agile Methodology Environment.
Highly developed communication skills, high level of professionalism in contact with our clients, and able to manage cross-functional activities
