We are expanding our team and are looking to hire a driven Systems Engineer who, just like us, love hardware and truly enjoy solving technical problems! With us you will get to work with unique products and tailor solutions for our customers. We do this with a long-term thinking and high sense of quality and sustainability!


Your role

Our Systems Engineers are responsible for one or several systems within the electrical area onboard submarines and/or surface ships. Our team are responsible for electrical propulsion, generators, transformers, converters, lighting, batteries with monitoring, power distribution with panels and circuit breakers. The work include parts of project management, business acumen, leadership and of course technology. It´s common for the Systems Engineer to stay in the team as system responsible, however, it´s also possible to take on the role of group leader or sub-project leader in projects. Our work is often performed in smaller teams however the interactions with stakeholders, internal and external, are vast.


The main tasks are:

* Requirement breakdown
* System design
* Technical purchase
* Integrate system with sub-systems, verification and setting to work


Your role will include commissioning on board and meetings that require some traveling both within Sweden and abroad.


Your profile

We are looking for a person with great technical interest and experience within power generation and distribution. You are structured, and have the ability to grasp complex issues. To succeed you need a strong self-drive in finding solutions and a customer-oriented approach. We would like to strengthen our team with you who are positive by nature and has the ability to inspire others in their daily work in order to create a pleasant atmosphere.


Required skills:

* Master of Science in Electrical engineering or equivalent work experience
* A few years work experience of System engineering and/or Electrical design
* Good communication skills in Swedish and English, verbal and written


Desired skills:

* Naval experience within ship building or operative work
* Work experience of generators and power distribution
* Diving license


This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

The electrical systems onboard a ship are complex and the possibility to learn new things is almost endless! You become part of a smaller team of experienced colleagues. New to the job, you will have a couple of dedicated people who introduce you to the business.
