Systems Engineer Hydraulics

Be part in developing the future generation of heavy industrial trucks – welcome to the exciting industry of non-road mobile machinery. Industrial trucks contain a huge variety of technologies, such as powertrains, electric drives, electric energy storage, hydraulics, vehicle automation, HMI/GUI, machine control, and digitalization. We work in a global environment, with people in Sweden, Italy, France and China, and partners all over the world.


The load handling system is an important part of industrial trucks. In the continuous work for improved energy efficiency, there is a huge need to optimise the design of the hydraulic system and the way it is controlled. Also, when moving into electrification, completely new ways to power load handling systems, as well as steering, braking and auxiliary functions, need to be assessed and developed. Hydraulic systems also need to be smart to give the best possible availability of the machine.


In this role, you shall have:
MSc in machinery, or BSc with documented relevant work experience.
Experience from design or maintenance of hydraulic systems, preferably on mobile machinery.
Ability to work from system level down to the properties of individual components.
Skills in machine control and electric drives.
Interest in machine safety and technical risk assessment.
A hands-on mindset, where you are comfortable in both leading and taking part of testing activities.

You are analytical, structured and goal oriented, yet innovative and able to find solutions in new ways while keeping focus on customer value and market needs. You must also be able to switch focus from high level system perspective to detailed technical issues. You are keen to learn continuously and apply new technology and methods. You must be able to express yourself at a professional level in speech and writing, and be fluent in English.
