Systems Engineer Lead

Your role

The Systems Engineering Management department operates within the domain of electronic warfare. Our tasks are to manage that expected functions and performances are achieved during the development, for a complex product with many sub-systems and sub-functions. We design, evaluate and communicate requirements to the organization so that our designers and developers have a solid foundation. The role involves understanding our processes for product development and ensuring that they are followed in our projects.

The tasks may include but are not limited to:

* Lead the planning of the system work and coordinate collaboration with the stakeholders.
* Adapt Saab's processes and lifecycle model, including reviews and decision points, for the specific development needs.
* Providing technical guidance and mentoring junior engineers.
* Ensure that reviews of the system-of-interest are performed according to plans and requirements.
* Contributing to the improvement of systems engineering practices and standards.
* Ensure that supporting systems are planned and developed.

Your workplace is at our site Järfälla and you will be part of the Systems Engineering Management team, which consists of system engineer leaders and configuration managers.

Your Profile

As a person, you have an interest in processes and have a confident leadership to guide businesses within the systems engineering domain. We believe that you have a collaborative mindset and a curious and positive approach that engage others.

To succeed as a systems engineer lead, we would like you to have:

* At least 5 years working experience from systems engineering in high technology industries.
* Systems engineering-experience from working in all phases of the product's life cycle.

Other appreciated qualifications:

* Experience in engineering fields like Hardware Development, Embedded Development, System Integration & Verification, Radio Frequency or Radar.

* Interest and experience of teaching and educating systems engineering based on for example INCOSE, ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288 or similar.
* Experience from Defence Industry

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
