For a newly established role we are looking for a driven and technical interested Systems Engineer in Security Systems with focus on surface vessels! Are you ready to take on the role of an expert and bearer of knowledge?
Your role
Our Systems Engineers are responsible for one or several systems within the security area onboard submarines and/or surface ships. The security systems onboard a ship will include intrusion detection and camera monitoring. The work include parts of project management, business acumen, leadership and of course technology. However, it is also possible to take on the role of group leader or sub-project leader in projects. Our work is often performed in smaller teams however the interactions with stakeholders, internal and external, are vast.

* Requirement breakdown
* System design
* Technical purchase
* Integrate system with sub-systems, verification and setting to work
Your role will include commissioning on board and meetings that require some traveling both within Sweden and abroad.
Your profile
We are looking for you who are curious, gain energy from learning new things and always strives to gain more knowledge within your field. You will be our go to person within Security Systems for our surface vessels why you will have to enjoy taking on that role. To succeed you will a structured way of working, ability to grasp complex issues, self-driven and have a will to reach set goals and deliveries.
Required skills:
* Minimum a few years of relevant experience from above mentioned tasks and good knowledge of system design and setting up Intrusion Alarms
* Experience within the Security domain
* Good communication skills in Swedish and English, verbal and written
Desired skills:
* Project management
* Naval knowledge
* Experiences of Camera Monitoring System
* Experiences of Access Control System
* Experiences of Electrical Design
* Driving license
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
What you will be a part of
The systems onboard the ships are complex and the possibility to learn new things is almost endless. You will be a part of the Ship Automation team which also include Fire Detection and Alarm system and Ship Integrated Automation Systems. At another section in Malmö, you will have a Kockums colleague focusing on subs. This person will be involved in your initial training and the two of you will work closely forming a dynamic duo! We offer you a place in a team who like to have fun at work and (during normal circumstances) are happy to go for a run or an after work together.
