We are seeking skilled engineers with expertise in intelligent autonomous systems to join a new team. The successful candidates will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and deploying autonomous systems for use in the naval industry and beyond.
Your role
You will work closely with our global team of engineers to deliver high-quality and reliable autonomous systems. You will join and work towards defining and implementing a state-of-the-art autonomy stack for military and civilian applications. This stack includes support for single- and multi-agent tactical autonomous behaviour while accounting for e.g. safety, security, ethical and operational restrictions.
Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and test autonomous systems for naval applications.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system requirements are met.
* Contributing to an agile mindset and a low-friction working and development environment.
* Perform system integration and testing of autonomous systems on naval vessels.
* Develop and implement software algorithms for autonomous navigation, control, and decision-making.
* Conduct risk assessments and develop safety protocols for autonomous systems.
* Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in autonomous systems and recommend improvements to existing systems.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
Your profile
We believe that you have:
* A Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Machine Learning or a related field.
* Some years of experience in designing, developing, and testing autonomous systems, preferably in the naval´ industry.
* Strong knowledge of software development, algorithms and control systems.
* Experience with ROS2 (Robot Operating System), virtualization, git, Linux.
* Strong verbal and written skills.
* Experience of agile workflow and toolkits.
You need to have a good ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. You also have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
