Are you our new Systems Engineer within ADAS?

Arriver™ is a new software unit and brand, fully focused on developing perception, fusion and drive policy software for the next generation cars. It will deliver an open, scalable and flexible architecture solution running on Qualcomm® Snapdragon Ride™ System on a Chip (SoC) platform. Arriver™ has 800 people in five countries - China, Germany, Romania, Sweden, USA - and builds on more than a decade of experience in active safety software development. The company is wholly owned by Qualcomm.

In Sweden we are situated in Linkoping, Stockholm, Gothenburg and Lund with around 400 colleagues.


What you'll do?

We are looking for a Systems Engineer with preferably with an automotive background within EE, active safety or autonomous driving. We think you have a solid grip of embedded systems development. As a Systems Engineer you work in our platform projects ensuring that all aspects of the V-model is implemented. Detailed tasks includes but are not limited to requirement management, architecture, testplanning, safety artifacts, FMEA, design reviews etc. As part of the fast-paced exciting journey we are taking towards advanced safety and AD software you will have an excellent chance of growing while contributing in various parts of the V-model.

Our international, agile and highly collaborative teams of developers work closely together to design, develop, and deliver an integrated, customized software stack to global automakers. The SW stack is developed as a global platform project by experts from our international teams in Romania, China, Germany, and US. Depending on candidates seniority and interest you will have the chance to take on lead roles coordinating the global team of engineers.

Depending on the background of the candidate you may be working mainly with the global platform project targeting markets 2026-30 or inside our predevelopment organization looking for advanced new development methods or product strategies. For candidates with extensive domain experience we may also have possibilities to offer roles as system architect / PO.

Your daily work in initial project will consist of e.g:

- Gather market and customer requirement for ADAS and AD systems including documentation

- Defining product specification on various levels from Vehicle system to SW components

- Interface application projects and customer RFQ discussions related to product definition, specification and feature performance

- System level test and validation concepts and strategy

- Requirement management incl. writing requirements and tracking and reporting traceability status

- Work with system safety deriving many of the safety artifacts defined by Fusa Managers

- Support scrum teams of developers to understand and break down system requirement. Lead alignment between cross functional team

What you'll bring:

To succeed in this position, we think you have:

- a Master of Science in Computer or Electrical Engineer or equivalent area

- a minimum of 3 years professional experience of automotive embedded development

- a Solid hands-on experience implementing V-model

- a Good understanding of ADAS systems and specially feature definitions

- Experience of requirement based development of safety critical SW (V-cycle and ISO26262)

- Co-ordination & Communication skills with special focus on Communication with remote global teams.

- Driving License and a fundamental interest in Vehicles and Traffic
