Systems Engineering Lead

Verisure is seeking a talented, innovative and passionate Systems Engineering Lead, to join our expanding Global Product Engineering team. The role reports to the Product Development Manager and is based in Malmö, Sweden. 

As our new  Systems Engineering Lead , you will be leading our team of Electrical Engineers and RF Engineers. You will have a key role delivering key parts of the next generation Verisure alarm system and accompanying peripherals in an international environment – working closely with our development teams in Madrid and Malmö and with our partners globally. 

Your team will work closely with system engineers and tech leads to ensure the design is using the right technology in the right way, will support the system needs of the embedded software engineers, will support the chosen system topology and can be manufactured efficiently.  

 

Responsibilities

Team coordination 
* Leading the team dependencies, coordinate the work and how the work is distributed across the team
* Driving the team delivery plans together with peers and partners
* Balancing the HW/Systems part of the work with the broader delivery plans in separate teams
* Supporting the Product Domains with resources and knowhow when needed 
* Driving HW System knowledge across teams and towards System Architects to ensure we drive technology alignment across the teams
* Driving specification work towards our partners and evaluate test/validation plans 
* Responsible for continuously building and developing its organization and team 

 

Team tasks 
* Detailed design and delivery of the EE and RF systems in new products.  
* Schematic, power tree, clock tree, RF, antenna and PCB for a new product being manufactured by a partner (EMS)
* Bring-up of prototypes in collaboration with embedded software engineering team 
* Partner with EMS to facilitate creation, test and evaluation of factory test equipment 
* Facilitate “design for cost” and “design for manufacturability” reviews, often with a 3rd party independent company - to ensure our Verisure specific needs are being met by our partners
* Ensure our design will meet CE, EN and other relevant certifications 
* Creation and execution of hardware test plans for EVT, DVT and PVT. On more complex products, we will bring in temporary contractors for execution of test plans as in many cases this is lower value work. 

What you bring

We are looking for an enthusiastic and high energy individual with a strong drive to create a positive work environment. You have a university degree within Electrical Engineering, 5+ years’ experience of HW Development (IOT, Mobile or similar), and in managing a team. You are a people person who is driven by motivating individuals around you as well as creating an encouraging atmosphere on a team level. Your background includes working in an international, multi-cultural and agile company where English is the business language. To us, it is important that you bring high energy and flexibility, strong communication skills and huge amounts of drive. Collaborative working is key!
