Kongsberg Automotive is now looking for a Systems Engineering Manager who would like to be part of the future development of our products.
We are aiming to constantly be in the forefront of our product areas. The position is based at Kongsberg Automotives Technical Centre in Mullsjö Sweden.
Who are we, your new colleagues?
There is four of us, with different backgrounds. We come from software development, configuration management, hardware development and in system design of brakes.
We are a team where the competence overlaps in such a way so that we can cover the entire area of systems engineering. As we are a bunch of extremely intelligent people there is sometimes a challenge to reach a consensus (this is where you come in) on the best way forward however, we work towards the same goal. Our goal is not only to develop actuators and shift-by-wire, world-class products but also to improve the way we develop them.
You will report to Selma, our Director Engineering Europe who is a great support and whom you can discuss and share experiences within the day-to-day activities.
What will you do?
You will be responsible for leading a team of system engineers that ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions.
In your role you will support your team in performing functional analysis, timeline analysis, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
What will you be responsible for?
Lead and mentor the system engineering group in all aspects
Create and execute reuse- and platform strategy together with your team and in cooperation with other teams
Enhance development in capabilities and ensuring an efficient and successful team with regards to Functional Safety ISO 26262, Automotive-SPICE, and cyber security to comply with current and future customer requirements
To ensure continuous improvement, define KPI’s and monitor / measure these to achieve targets and secure competitiveness
Establish and maintain budget and deliver results
Who are you?
MSc/BSc of Engineering, degree in Electronic Engineering is preferred
Experience with mechatronic/embedded systems.
Minimum 3 years of experience from Automotive and lean principles; powertrain/transmission experience and market knowledge are beneficial
Experience with functional safety, ASPICE and cyber security is preferred
Experience with finance, budgets, cost control and good understanding of the main state of the art IT tools used within product development
Excellent analytical skills and strong problem-solving skills with root cause analysis capabilities to take the right corrective actions
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Must be self-motivated, passionate and have a strong drive
Fluent in English, verbal and written
