About the position
Perido is looking for a Systems Operations Engineer who can help our client manage and operate modern technologies. The client in question is recognized around the globe as a diversified worldwide financial technology, trading and information services provider to the capital markets. This assignment is located at the modern office in Stockholm.
Your daily tasks
Operating the state-of-the-art trading platform, you will be responsible for handling incoming issues, solving incidents, and launching of new versions. Also, performance testing and recovery procedures are performed for different releases. There are many different exciting projects as well that you will be part of, enhancing and introducing new improvements and products.
Among other things, your job will include:
Being part of all activities regarding the applications.
Designing, planning, and implementing changes to the existing systems as well as implementing new solutions.
Performance testing and recovery procedures.
Acting as specialist in operational issues, questions, and requirements.
Taking part in different projects regarding current and new customers.
Maintaining operational documentation needed for second line operation.
Managing projects and independently carrying out parts of large implementation projects.

Your qualifications
To succeed in this role we are looking for someone with at least a couple of years from working with System Administration, Network Operations, Technology Engineering, or within other related area. We need you to have knowledge of Linux/Unix, and it is a great plus if you also have knowledge of scripting in Python, Perl, or Bash. Some experience from Cloud Computing, Docker and Kubernetes will give you an extra edge, although not mandatory.

Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related discipline.
Experience from working with DevOps, System Administration, Network, Application Operations, or other related area.
Knowledge of Linux/Unix.
Excellent language skills in written and spoken English.

Meritorious
Knowledge of Scripting (Perl, Python etc.), and Databases (SQL).
Knowledge in Cloud Computing, Containerization (Docker) and Container Orchestration (Kubernetes).

Contract type and hours
Full time. Start as soon as possible, until end of June 2021.
