Systems/Support Engineer

Outpost24: We are an IT security provider dedicated to the continual evolution of proactive network security. We specialize in cost-effective products focused on a preventive approach such as our Automated Vulnerability Scanning services, rather than a reactive one (as opposed to defense mechanisms such as Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems and Anti-virus tools). Our products do not replace these mechanisms but rather complement them. The solutions we offer are aimed at assessing the current security level regularly, consequently helping to reduce security risks and avoid damage and loss. Job description: As part of the Outpost24 AB technical staff you will be working as part of a team responsible for maintaining our Automated Vulnerability Scanning services and our Digital Threat Alerting service. This will include installation, maintenance, and monitoring of network and systems. You will be working directly with regional technical teams and customers to resolve complex issues and provide solution. As part of the technical team you will work with developers quality assurance and systems engineers to determine root cause for customer complaints and work to improve overall customer experience. Qualifications: * Well developed analytical and trouble shooting skills. * Good oral and written English communication skills. * Strong Linux/Unix administration abilities including: shell scripting(bash, bash, perl, awk, sed) * Multi distribution Linux experience, administration and configuration of Tomcat, Apache, Postgres, Bind, Oracle, Postfix. * Microsoft operating systems experience both desktop and server platforms. * Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery and back solution design and implementation. * Practical experience using security assessment tools(nmap, nessus, nikto, etc.) * Solid understanding of security concepts related to policy and configuration details.
