Arbetsbeskrivning
For Seco Tools and our Sourcing team in Fagersta, we’re looking for a curious and driven Tactical Purchaser who wants to contribute to our business with lots of work energy and new ideas! We offer you a broad role in a global setting where you can build your competence for a future career within sourcing. We’re also in the middle of an exciting decentralization journey and together with us you get to shape our vision and set our ways of working.
Seco Tools is a market-leading manufacturer of comprehensive metal cutting solutions for milling, stationary tools, hole making and tooling systems. We develop and supply the technologies, processes and support that our customers depend on to maximize both productivity and profitability.
About the job
In this position, you support and manage a couple of cross-functional categories lead by our strategic purchasers, and you work closely together to develop efficient strategies for these categories. An important step in this is managing and building a strategic supplier base - meaning you initiate contact with suppliers, negotiate agreements, as well as implement and follow up on contracts. Naturally, you establish good relations with key stakeholders and suppliers, and you drive supplier relationship management activities.
Another important part of your job is measuring and following-up on performance within your designated category. You also implement sourcing plans and ensure that our sourcing activities are in alignment with frameworks and guidelines, and you lead and participate in various sourcing projects including supplier selection and creation of contracts.
About you
We believe that you have a relevant degree, but more important is your previous working experience from comparable roles within purchasing or supplier management. You’re a skilled negotiator and any experience from MRO category negotiations is beneficial. You easily manage the applications within Office 365, and it’s a plus with knowledge in M3, Power BI and Qlikview. We also consider a SILF diploma or similar as a merit. Since we’re a global business with local presence, you need good communication skills in both English and Swedish.
As a person, you’re self-motivated, involved and driven - you like being busy and to always have something to work on. Collaboration, knowledge sharing and supporting your team-mates are important to you, and you establish open and trusting relations with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers. On top of this, you truly enjoy taking part in new initiatives and development projects, and you’re also a finisher who keep focused until you reach results.
