Job Description
The Resource Management group in the IT department is responsible for overseeing talent, vendor and financial management for the department as well as the Project management Office (PMO). Our goal is to increase clarity and accountability of personnel and budget resources, as the department seeks to maximise value delivered to stakeholder groups. The IT department comprises a diverse population of more than 400 employees.
The Talent Manager is responsible for developing and driving the talent strategy across the IT Department, including how to attract, onboard, motivate, engage, and retain employees. They contribute to creating an environment in which all personnel is likely to express its full potential, improving the overall level of engagement and performance and promoting a culture of excellence.
Functions
The Talent Manager implements HR guidelines and recommended practices in the IT department, supporting IT management, supervisors and individuals to create the best possible work environment for themselves and for their teams. They analyse the departmental needs to recruit, retain, and develop talented employees and leaders. They will do this in close collaboration with the HR partners, and with the IT leaders and employees across multiple teams.
As a Talent Manager, you will:
- Prepare and draft the Workforce plan for the Department, reviewing the short and long-term capabilities needed in teams, services, projects. Monitor the recruitment and retention of all categories of personnel, implement a smooth onboarding process for newcomers (inductions), and accompany people leaving the department;
- Contribute to the overall success of the People First strategy, including aspects on Diversity & Inclusion, career, succession planning and personnel wellbeing;
- Drive the performance evaluation process across the IT Department, ensure the timely completion of all the steps, and contribute to make the process meaningful and aligned with the desired culture;
- Develop the learning culture of the Department, together with the Departmental Training Officer, including coaching/mentoring programmes, job shadowing, or career development mechanisms;
- Support the department in the change management journey, contributing to the implementation of the new operating model, organization and way of working as well as change management initiatives.
Qualifications
Master's degree or equivalent relevant experience in the field of human resources or a related field, e.g., economics, business administration, behavioral sciences, law, together with professional training in the field of human resources or a related field.
Experience:
- Experience working in talent management is essential.
- Experience in leading talent management initiatives.
- Proven project management experience and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple demands and timelines.
- An understanding of the impact of diversity and inclusion on business performance and how this can enhance the people experience.
- Experience with data analytics with the ability to use KPIs to provide insights to the IT department to drive and steer business decisions.

Language skills:
Spoken and written English. Ability to understand and speak French in professional contexts desired or the willingness to acquire it rapidly.
