As our Tax Controller, you will work in our finance function with the broad range of different tax and VAT related processes. You will be part of the global Finance Team, reporting to the Head of Finance. You will run the yearly income tax and VAT process for the entire bank by interacting with our Tax Advisors and relevant stakeholders in Ikano group, HQ and local branches.

Your areas of responsibility will include the following:

• Preparation of income tax calculations for Ikano Bank as a legal entity
• Preparation of the Bank's yearly income tax return and disclosures to the Swedish Tax Authorities with the support from our Tax Advisors
• Manage and coordinate tax matters in external and internal tax audits.
• Manage and assist colleagues with income and VAT tax issues/questions that may arise in the organization, from both a local and a global tax perspective.
• Together with the Tax Advisors perform analysis of effects of the changes in current laws, standards and practices within tax area and their impact on the Bank and implement the required changes
• Run and participate in different projects within the Bank that requires knowledge of various areas related to tax.

Are you the one for Ikano?

We think that you have good knowledge of regulations, procedures, practices and principles related to the tax area, from both a local and a global tax perspective. Experience and competence in accounting are desirable and preferable. We also think that you have a positive mind-set with a down-to-earth approach, that you are flexible and engaged with the ability to cooperate cross-functionally. To succeed in this role, you need to have strong stakeholder management skills and be able to interact with global stakeholders at all levels. Good verbal and written communication skills in both Swedish and English are vital as you will play a key role in coordinating and aligning the tax matters in the head quarter as well as in the branches.

Qualification & experience

• Academic degree in Finance or Law, specialized in tax, or other similar experience.
• About 5 years or more of working experience within tax area e.g. by working with audit or at tax authorities.
• Experience from tax return calculation principles, preferably global, and awareness on differences between tax regimes in different countries.
• Experience with working in an international environmental.
• Experience from the banking sector desirable.
