SSAB consists of five divisions, each with its own managing director and CFO, responsible for the division management and results.
Group Tax is a part of SSAB Group Finance and is responsible for all income and corporate taxes within the SSAB Group. This includes policies, internal control, reports, M&A, financing, transfer pricing etc. VAT, customs and other similar taxes are managed by the SSAB Shared Service Center.
Main Responsibilities
In the position as Tax Manager you will work with a broad variety of tasks within income and corporate taxation in the SSAB Group. You will be responsible for the quality assurance and development of the group tax accounting and reporting, associated activities within the area of group tax control and you will be involved in contributing in other Swedish and International Corporate tax matters.
Your tasks will include
Monitor and review monthly group tax reporting to ensure that accounting standards and other group instructions are followed.
Contribute to the development of group tax control processes and policies.
Providing technical IFRS tax accounting expertise and advice to group entities.
Provide tax advice across the group in the area of Swedish and international corporate income tax matters.
Participate in other Group tax related projects.
Prepare tax declarations for Swedish legal entities.
You will act as an internal consultant in all matters regarding taxes and you are expected to keep yourself updated within your area of expertise. This also includes educating and supporting the SSAB Group CFOs and Division Controllers in tax related matters.
In the position as Tax Manager you will be based in Stockholm and report to the Head of Group Tax. Working in close collaboration with the Group Tax team you constantly strive to improve how SSAB Group handles all aspects of income and corporation tax. As a Tax Manager at SSAB you have the opportunity to shape tax processes within one of the world’s leading steel manufacturers, working together with experienced coworkers in making the steel industry sustainable.
About you
Minimum 4-5 years’ relevant experience.
Academic degree within law, business administration or equivalent.
Experience from working with Group tax accounting.
Experience from working with income and corporation tax.
Comfortable in collaborating with certified auditors.
Excellent skills in Excel, both in developing and maintaining reports.
Fluency in English and Swedish, both written and spoken.
As a person you are precise, collaborative and development-oriented with strong analytical skills. It’s a plus if you have experience from the Big 4, international taxation and multinational organizations.
