Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) Solna is now recruiting qualified, English speaking teachers, across a range of subjects to start in August 2021 when the school opens.  Initially, the school will open with grade 4 to 8 students and will expand to include grade 9 the following year.  We are seeking teachers who are committed to helping us establish and develop a positive educational culture and community within our new school.  

We are looking for teachers who, like us, believe in giving students the opportunity to realise their full potential, whatever their background. You must also be knowledgeable and passionate about your subject. You will have the tools to create a calm, learning environment and differentiate your teaching to inspire all your students.  Furthermore, we are looking for teachers who are energetic, flexible and proactive.  

We are currently seeking teachers of the following subjects: 

- Craft / Art (ages 10-16)

Qualifications required:

- Swedish lärarlegitimation or current teaching licence/qualification including relevant higher education qualifications (TEFL/CELTA are not sufficient).
- English native speaker (fluency in Swedish is not a requirement).

Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) schools are truly international environments where students follow the Swedish national curriculum with up to fifty percent of teaching taking place in English. Bilingual, and often multilingual environments, all IES schools are full of students and staff from all around the world.  More specifically, IES Solna will be a Grade 4-9 Compulsory School located in the ‘Ingenting’ area of Huvudsta in the municipality of Solna.  Solna is located next to Stockholm, so we are located close to the heart of the Stockholm transport network.  When we open in August, we will welcome classes in grades 4-8, expanding to include grade 9 the following year.  When fully open, the school will provide education for 768 students.
