Internationella Engelska Skolan in Kista is now seeking a qualified French and Spanish teacher to join our fantastic working environment, full time starting in August 2020.
Work description
Included in the work description, aside from common teacher tasks such as planning, teaching, marking and follow-ups, is mentor ship for 16 students in one of the year levels that you teach. You have to be available for meetings with parents, students or colleagues and to actively work towards maintaining the IES Ethos and vision. We need a clear classroom management and visible leadership during lessons and open communication between teacher and students. Focus lies on learning and a calm environment and the school’s routines and rules are followed by students and staff alike.
Qualifications
We require "lärarlegitimation" or if internationally qualified, a current teaching license/registration plus a Bachelors degree and teaching qualification.
Personal requirements
We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive, committed team-player, willing to go the extra mile for students and colleagues. In addition to teaching meaningful and enjoyable lessons, all staff are expected to be well organised, take pride in their mentor ship and other school duties and above all, be outstanding role models for our students. We as a school strives for excellence and we have an organisation set to achieve that, both academically and socially. You will follow the Swedish national curriculum, so an understanding of Swedish is valuable although not required.
Here is the opportunity to work in an international and stimulating environment where dedication, professionalism and the English language is the common denominator. The academic expectations are high, and we attempt to create a quiet environment where conditions for teaching and learning are good.
To apply, email your CV and cover letter and a copy of your teacher certification to human.resources.kista@engelska.se. Please, mark your application with "French teacher".
A background check from the police register is a requirement for work in a school and such control will be made in connection with your employment.
Interviews will be held on an on-going basis. We look forward to meeting you.
