Would you like to teach in a very popular master’s program in Interaction Design? Come and join an experienced team of interaction design teachers and researchers! We are located in an inspiring environment at Campus Lindholmen in Göteborg.
Information about the department and the division
The department of Computer Science and Engineering is strongly international, with approximately 270 employees from over 30 countries. The department is a fully integrated department with the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology as principals. The position is placed in the Division for Interaction Design at the department, with Chalmers as the employer.
The Interaction Design division is an interdisciplinary group, with researchers working in areas such as aesthetics of computational technology, information visualization, inclusive design, intelligent user interfaces, computer game design, interaction in arts and music, and tangible user interfaces. It is responsible for approximately 20 courses - mainly at the masters level - and is responsible for two master programmes: Interaction Design & Technologies at Chalmers and Game Design & Technology at University of Gothenburg.
Job description
The position is to be the teacher for courses related to Interaction Design, including the topics such as human-computer interaction, user-centered design, graphical interfaces, design for mobile platforms, and design methods. Responsibilities include lecturing, supervising students, grading assignments and exams, and running exercises. The teaching will be done as part of a team of experienced teachers from the division of Interaction Design, and include time to prepare before the semester starts. In addition, supervision of students in bachelor thesis projects, master thesis projects, and individual project courses is part of the work specification. The courses are given in English.
Contract terms
Temporary employment, 1 year, full time.
Your qualifications
The applicant is expected to hold a completed master degree in a field relevant to the topics that defines the position, or significant professional experience in a related occupation. The applicant should have documented experience in the topics that define the position, and show good skills in spoken and written English. Having a PhD in a field relevant to the course topics that defines the position is meriting.
